Kids Day Out
Celebrating more than 30 years of enriching children's lives
Welcome to Westside Church of the Nazarene’s Kid’s Day Out (KDO) and Preschool program. For over 30 years, we have kept our promise to enrich the lives of children in our own church family, across our city, and throughout the world. All children are gifts from God and our most important job is to cherish them, to keep them safe and to nourish their minds, bodies and spirits.
This is a ministry to children that includes teaching Bible stories and age-appropriate curriculum, as well as giving children the opportunity to develop socially with their peers. The children are accepted for the program at 18 months through age 5. Each class is designed for the appropriate age level. Each child may come one day per week, either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.. Kid's Day Out (K.D.O.) follows the school year for children 18 months through 5 years by August 31 of the current year.

Pre-Kindergarten
Children attend on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 - 11:30 a.m. or 12:30-3 p.m., with an extended day session available on Wednesday. Curriculum will include many fun activities, including math, reading readiness, pre-writing, science, social studies, art, music, and Bible stories. Children must be 4 years of age by August 31 of current year. Children currently enrolled in K.D.O are given first opportunity to sign up.
3 yr. Preschool
Children come each Tuesday and Thursday, from 9a.m. - 11:30 a.m., with an extended day option on Tuesday. Curriculum will include basic math, reading readiness, and pre-writing skills, as well as music, art, Bible stories, and other activities. Children must be 3 yrs. of age and potty-trained by August 31 of the current year.
